Yugendran works in Inventory at CARSOME Dealer Hub Shah Alam, where three hundred cars sit on the lot and he walks past every one of them. On an average day, he clocks 30,000 steps.

But the job is only part of it. His day starts before his shift does — five kilometres out, five kilometres back. It’s a habit he picked up as a boy following his mother on errands, and one he’s never dropped. No gym, no training plan.

We spent a day with him to see what 30,000 steps actually looks like, and to hear what changed once he started tracking them.
